What makes you a ‘fake’?
Desperately seeking to please other people?
Why do you go around putting on different masks on a daily basis? Is there a way we be true to ourselves without ‘selling out’?
In different places and situation there are things, we certainly would or wouldn’t do, but that’s called common sense.
However, it’s not your fault, we all are guilty of acting outside ourselves in order to be polite, pretending to be happy when you’re not and trying to fit in. That is all we have been taught right?
It’s not easy but worth it and your integrity and self worth depends on you to be true to yourself.
1. Stop lying
You should not be lying to please other people and it actually works out better when you don’t because at the very least, you won’t have to try and remember the lies you told.
side note: (you shouldn’t tell lies at all)
2. Don’t give false opinions
The worst thing you can do is to give someone a false opinion about anything by agreeing if you don’t agree. Say what you feel. If you think you will hurt someone then just say nothing.
3. Do the best you can to know thyself
Who are you? What are you about? What do you love to do? What don’t you like? Find the answers to these questions to get to know more about who you are.
4. Take responsibility
For everything that happens in your life. Don’t blame others and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Stand up accept the situation then make your decisions from there. When you can take responsibility, you own your life.
5. Find meaning
Find your purpose. Why are you here? When you discover meaning in your life, this alone will make you want to wake up in the morning.
6. Listen to your inner voice
Instead of doing what everyone else wants you to do, or thinks you should do, listen to your inner voice.
What does that tell you?
When you have choices to make, always listen to your inner voice and go with what feels right.
When you know what you are good at this will give you confidence and allow you to shine at doing what you do best. Your Genius will allow you to follow your flow and do what is natural for you.
8. Don’t let the opinions of other influence you
Put your foot down and stand for what you believe in. know what your values are use them to make choices for yourself.
9. Be open to change
Being set in one way (the way you have always been taught) you leave no room for change. Being open to change is important if you want to get to know the real you. You may also need to try new things, as the saying goes you never know until you try. Doubt all beliefs you once had and be open minded.
10. Go against the grade
Some people are more social than others some like to spend time alone, what type of person are you? Follow your own path because in a society that wants everyone to be the same, it will leave you feeling like a fraud by not doing what you really want.
11. Listen to your feelings
If you feel like you are not being true to yourself stop what you are doing, the first step is to notice (well done). Now ask what would the real me do? What do I really have to say?
How does your body feel when you have a decision to make? Good or bad? This is your guide, use it. (I think I mentioned this earlier)
12. Think for yourself
Some people don’t think at all. They go along through life taking whatever comes their way. If you want to be true to yourself, you must think for yourself.
13. Accept the truth
As the saying goes, truth hurts, but sometimes the truth is designed to help you, but doesn’t always make you happy.
In a world full of deception and lies you must realize the truth is sometimes a hard pill to swallow. However seek to find the truth by being open minded and get to know the facts. Base you life on truth no matter what. (and stop telling those lies).
14. Know your Happy Triggers
15. Follow those dreams
Your dreams the one you desire to manifest in your life.
I believe anything is possible even for you.
When you learn how to be true to yourself without the need to please others you will shine and that’s what matters.
